DAY & PROGRAMME
01: Arrive Delhi
Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel.
Delhi, where a empire rose and fell before the dawn of history; where citadels of emperors appeared and disappeared; a city of mysterious eternity whose old ruins proclaim a majestic and imperial past and whose present pulsates vibrantly with the ever flowing life of India. The eternal Jamuna bears witness to the glorious and tumultuous 5,000 year old history of Delhi. A history which begins with the creation of Indraprastha by the Pandavas and the transformation of this barren gift of the Kauravas into an idyllic haven.

02. Delhi
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Old & New Delhi visiting - Raj Ghat cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Afternoon visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch ), Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping centre.
Overnight at the hotel.
03: Delhi – Haridwar by surface (220 Kms / 05-06 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Haridwar, on arrival check-in at the hotel.
Haridwar means “Gateway to god”. It’s is essentially a Hindu pilgrim town with temples, hermitages and Dharamshalas along the banks of the river Ganga. Also visit Har- ki- Pauri, the most popular bathing ghat which has a footprint of Lord Vishnu, the Hindu God of preservation, on stone.
Evening witness Ganga Aarti at Har-ki-Pauri.
Haridwar attracts herds of tourists all through the year. Har-ki-Pauri is the centre of activity in Haridwar: piety and brisk business go hand in hand here at all times. There are thread ceremonies, tonsuring ceremonies, holy dips, and ash immersion ceremonies.
It is at the time of the evening aarti that the Ghats of Har-ki-Pauri command rapt attention from the onlookers.

04: Haridwar
After breakfast visit the Temples.
The major attractions here include the Chandi Devi Temple situated atop the Neel Parvat and the eight-storeyed Bharat Mata Temple that towers over the small town. Then there is Shanti Kunj, a spot famous for its Gayatri Temple housing 24 images of Gayatri just near the Saptarishi Ashram.
The bazaars of Haridwar also hold their own unique importance. You will find rudraksh, kumkum (vermilion), Gangajal (vessels containing Ganges water), Ayurvedic medicines and precious stones in the local Moti Bazaar, Upper Road, and Jwalapur.
Later visit Rishikesh. Visit this town, which stands for the “plaits of the sage”. It is a place of ashrams where solace seekers come to spend their time in serenity of God. Visit the Shivananda Ashram where discourses in English on Hindu religious texts can be heard. Also visit the Lakshman Jhoola, a suspension bridge spanning the Ganga. Time permitting, participate in a prayer meeting and watch a Yoga demonstration.
Late evening return to Haridwar for overnight stay.
05: Haridwar – Delhi by surface (220 Kms / 05 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Delhi Airport to board flight for onward destination.
End of the programme. Check-in is at 1400 Hrs & check-out time is at 1200 Hrs at the hotels.
